At last night’s Community Council meeting Nicola Debnam from Argyll and Bute Council and Ian Arnold form Argyll Timer Transport Group came to present the furnace-pier-haulroad-report on the feasibility appraisal into the proposed new pier at Furnace. The appraisal was commissioned by the two partners above from Scott Wilson Scotland Ltd.

[ June 26, 2008; 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. ] The next meeting with the new combined agendas of the Furnace Community Council and Amenity Association will be at 7.30pm on Thursday 26th June and will also be the AGM of both organisations.

Co-options to Furnace Community Council

At its meeting on Thursday 22nd May, the Community Council co-opted two new members. Ronnie Dodds has joined to become Events Manager; and Eva Paterson will run a Two Hundred Club to raise funds for the Hall Restoration Fund.

‘Leader’ Fund now considering its first applications

The ‘Leader’ Fund has begun to consider its first applications in the current phase. Several applications have been received for funding to support Village Hall development - so we might need to look at this fund quite quickly.

Furnace Football Field to get fencing and nets as well as drainage
